A weekly clean keeps a home tidy. A deep clean every few months reaches the places that quietly collect dust and grease.

Room by room

• Kitchen: cooker hood filters, inside the oven, behind the fridge and the tops of cabinets.
• Bathrooms: limescale on taps and shower glass, grout lines and exhaust fans.
• Living rooms: under sofas, curtains, light fittings and skirting boards.
• Bedrooms: mattresses, under the bed and inside wardrobes.

Most homes need a deep clean every three to four months, and before Ramadan, Eid and moving day.
